Our DNA:

To get to Generation of Promise, simply make your way to 165 Upper East Coast Road.

1) MRT
Alight at Tanah Merah Station and take 12 from the forest side. You can also take 14 from the urban side.
You can also alight at Bedok MRT and take 16.

2) Bus
Buses 10, 12, 13, 14 also bring you to Generation of Promise.

Then enter Emmanuel Assembly of God. Then press the button on the lift, press 3, and our beloved ushers will usher you into our wonderful service. SEE YOU THERE!

Hey GoP!!!!!

Here are notes from the Wednesday Prayer that we had this week :)

1)The Acknowledgement

Luke 11:1-2

-Instead of asking Jesus how to deliver people, do miracle healings and building a church, they asked him how to pray!

-Disciples acknowledged that pray was important and the basis of everything that was done.

2)The Importance

"Prayer strikes the winning blow; Service is just picking up the pieces" - Some famous man.

-As i shared, the prayer meeting is THE service!

Mat 21:12-13

-In this verse where Jesus fipped the tables, he talked about how His house should be a house of Prayer!

-Notice that not a house of miracles, house of riches, house of mouse etcetc

-At that time, Jesus did what he could to keep the temple as a house of prayer by flipping the tables!

-Today's context, what are the tables we need to flip in GoP AND in our own lives!

-Time to bring prayer out of the basement!!

3)The Power

Mat 21:14

-The very verse RIGHT after the tables were flipped, miracles took place!

-Even the devil acknowledges the power of prayer, thats why he does everthing he can to stop us from praying: making it seem boring, laziness, tv etc

-Are we going to buy in or press in? Are we going to finally decide to flip the tables of slandering, gossiping etcetc ?

Closing

-Why pray 5 hours everyday when we still hold on to bitterness, hatred, anger, revenge?

-All we need to do is flip the tables that has stopped the house from becoming a house of prayer!!

-Remember the 10 salvations we had in one week(or month), and exactly the same week we had an awesome prayer meeting!

Envisioning

-envision people flooding into our corridoors

-envision the Power of God being felt through the whole servie

-envision God using us to do his work

-Envision crazily big and mighty things God has planned for GoP!

-Stop limiting what you envision, because God can just do MORE than you IMAGINE POSSIBLE!

So this is the point form of the sharing, I hope everyone just begin to take prayer into a new level on a personal and corporate level. Remember to share with your cells for the people who were present!

Visual Arts Ministry (VAM)

VAM’s purpose is to help broadcast GoP to the world, to help bring across GoP’s mission and purpose, using visual means. This is because curious people not only want to hear about God and His people; they really want to see for themselves what’s going on. So VAM is set up, because we want to let people know our passion for Christ, and deep love for God and what is happening in GoP.

If you are a visual person, with creativity that you don’t know how to use, we would gladly welcome you to join us as a VAMFIRE, to serve and show your burning FIRE and hunger for Christ! Come join us and let GoP burn even BRIGHTER for Him! :D

You might want to serve as:

• Designers: You’re the one that does the creating and editing of things like posters and cards!
• Blog technicians: Love fiddling around with blogskins? Yes! You’d be the one who would help beautify this very blog that you are reading right now.
• Publisher: You’re especially important in helping the Designers publish theirs works!
• Writers: While we believe looks are important, words are just as important too! You are the blogger and journalist for us!
• Projectionist: We won’t forget the lyrics with you around! You’re the one who also does the powerpoint, and sermon slides!
• Photographers: You’re the one that takes the photos for us, whether it’s events or services, for our use too!
• Videographers: If a picture speaks a thousand words, what about videos! With you around, we’re sure that our precious moments would be captured for a lifetime. Contact:

Dance Ministry (Dedi-K-ted)

Dedi-K-ted is the name we go by - Dancing Evangelists who are Disciplined, and have an Intimate relationship with the King, and we're living in the Truth EveryDay. That title alone will most probably speak for itself.

We cater to a wide range of dance styles from hip hop to b-boying to street jazz, and no formal dance background is required. All we need from you is the interest in dance, a heart for serving God and of course the ability to enjoy yourself at the same time. So if you want to impact a generation out there for God using dance as a form of language, this is the ministry for you! Or, just feel free to pop by during our practice sessions to learn and have fun.

Music Ministry

Have you heard of Hillsongs, Planetshakers, Audacious, CCC & Etc? Well, we’re proud to present to you GoP Music Ministry. Our aim is to raise Younger Generation Musicians to Serve God passionately and to go into a Deeper, Higher and Stronger relationship with God through worship.

We’re fun-loving people with different kind of musical talents. We not only serve God using our instruments or our voice but we sing worship to the Lord through our inner soul. If you are interested in joining us, what’s stopping?! Come! If you’re not technically equipped, we will help you with that. We JAM, CRASH, SHOUT & PRAY. Our prayer is always that God could use us to bring GoP to the next higher level.

Ushers

Ushers, like how the name suggest we usher people, welcoming them into the house of God. We tend to be the very first person you see before you enter the service hall.

Here in ushers ministry,we hope to bring joy to all who comes in, to give them a smile in the worst day and a warm hand shake with much love. To put it simply,we want carry God's joy and love and spread it to everyone else.

Other than that, we provide direction to all the people who are new and lost or ensure that they are going the right place for service. This helps to ensure that they feel a sense of belonging and not helpless, wanted and not ignored.

And of course,passing the offering bags and giving out materials for sermon or events are also part of our wonderful ushering job. :)

L.A Unit

The Logistics and Atmosphere Unit (L.A Unit) was started in 2003 to help connect all the other ministries of CFC together, acting as a “Middle Man” to them. Currently, the L.A Unit provides logistics and manpower services to both GOP and YA, especially during events and parties.

The L.A Unit is divided into 3 different departments, all of which are inter-dependant on one another, which are Admin and Accounts, Manpower and Security.

Departments

• Admin and Accounts
The Admin and Accounts department handles all paper work, catalogues and statistic(acting as the statistic supervisor and the researchers for the Youth Group they play a very important role in helping us understand where we are, have been and is going.)

• Manpower
The Manpower department does all the ground works, from setting up of decorations for an event to clearing up after the even and also for any form of physica labours that CFC or the Church requires help with.

• Security
The Security department provides the safety side of our Youth Group and Church, which handles the flow of crowds, the belongings in specific rooms and to guard money transactions, especially during registration of events and movement of money.

Sound

Having an almighty God gracing our service every week and the bonus of a wonderful music team on the frontline to usher us through the gates of praise, youth service is often the place anyone would want to be at on a Saturday evening.

While the music team's role is to usher the congregation through the gates of praise, the sound ministry is hidden behind the scenes and is responsible for delivering the message and the music with clarity to the congregation.

Your job is mainly to provide and help out in the technical areas throughout the service.

Numb3rs

Our ministry specializes in the administrative side of Generation of Promise, which encompasses accounts, mailing lists, budgets, database and attendance. We possess the expertise for all things meticulous and mathematical.

• Accounts: For events, you're the one helping the committee member in charge of accounts to close it/check for accuracy.

• Database: You're the one updating the database whenever there are new additions to GoP.

• Attendance: TBC
